Booking & Policies
What's the deposit and cancellation policy?
A 50% deposit reserves your trip date. The remaining balance is due 2 days before arrival. Deposits are non-refundable except in cases of unsafe weather or river conditions. Rescheduling is available with sufficient notice — just call as early as you can.
Can a non-fishing guest come along?
Each trip is set guest of two anglers per boat. If a non-fishing guest wants to come along, please reach out — we'll discuss whether it works for the float you're booking.
Best time of year to fish the Spring River?
Year-round, actually — that's the whole point of a spring-fed river. Fall through spring is prime for trout. Summer brings smallmouth bass into the picture. Pick a month and we're fishing.
Before You Arrive
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes. A valid Arkansas fishing license — and a trout permit for trout water — is required. Licenses can be purchased online or at most local outdoor outfitters. We can help point you to the right one if you're not sure.
What should I bring?
Arkansas fishing license, polarized sunglasses, a hat, sunscreen, a rain shell (Ozark weather can shift), layers for the season, and water. If you're spin fishing and have a setup you love, bring it — otherwise we've got you covered.
What's included in the price?
The guided float, drift boat, fly or spin rod and reel, all flies/lures/terminal tackle, and on-water instruction. Full-day floats also include a box lunch and water. Arkansas fishing license, gratuity, and lodging (if you choose to add it) are not included.
On the Water
How experienced do I need to be?
Zero experience is fine. We coach beginners through the basics on the water — casting, mending, reading the drift. If you're experienced, we skip the basics and dial in what's working today.
What about kids and family trips?
Half-day spin trips are great for kids and first-timers. The boat is set guest of two, so plan accordingly. Reach out if you're putting together something custom for a family group.
